Following the months, when seven ex-Indian navy officers came back to India, after facing death sentence for an alleged espionage case, the MEA on Thursday, revealed the reason, that why the eighth Indian Navy officer is still there in Qatar.
Answering this question, the ministry of external affairs has recently issued a statement on Thursday.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal revealed that an 8th veteran Indian navy officer is still there in the middle east country ‘due to some requirements’.
Issuing a statement MEA spokesperson said, ‘the eighth ex-Indian Navy Officer is still in Qatar due to some requirements.’
Earlier On February MEA declared that seven ex-Indian navy officers have come back to India. At the same time, the ministry also expressed appreciation for Qatar’s decision to handle their release and making them return.
In addition, it also appreciated Qatar’s Amir for the release and enable the homecoming of 7 ex-Indian navy officers.
Meanwhile in the Thursday press conference, MEA spokesperson also demanded Canada to initiate action against various anti-India, who are present in the north American country. These words were spoken, when questions were raised over the reports of Canada putting charges on two individuals, who threatened country’s PM Justin Trudeau on social media. But there was lack of action against those who threatened Indian leaders & diplomats.
