
Putin called PM Modi to discuss his meeting with Trump on the Ukraine war and explore ways to strengthen India-Russia strategic and bilateral cooperation.
Russian President Vladimir Putin dialled Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to share insights of his meeting with US President Donald Trump in Alaska on the Ukraine war.
PM Modi thanked the Russian President Putin and assured India's constant support in obtaining peace through dialogue and diplomacy. He further asserted that India supports all efforts to end the conflict.

The two leaders also spoke about several areas of cooperation to further strengthen India-Russia relations and the Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia.
The Russian president Putin met the US president Trump in Alaska for a high-stakes summit discussing the Russia-Ukraine war, that's been going on for three long years now. Although the two leaders termed the meeting as 'productive', there had been no announcement of a ceasefire.

No details were provided by either Trump or Putin at the joint press conference, hinting that the meeting had 'little progress'.
After Putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has now arrived in Washington to meet US President Donald Trump.
