A tragic gas leak at a factory near Domoria Bridge in Jalandhar, Punjab, claimed the life of one person on Saturday. Emergency services and fire department personnel promptly arrived at the scene after receiving the alert.
The individual was found unconscious and rescued, but later succumbed to the effects of the leak, according to police reports. Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Balbir Singh has ordered a magisterial investigation into the incident, with a report expected within 15 days.
