Punjab Congress stages dharna against AAP leader

Under the leadership of Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, leaders and party cadre staged a massive Dharna today at Kathlor Bridge, Pathankot, and demanded registration of the case and strict action against tainted AAP leader Lal Chand Kataruchak in the Pathankot land scam case.
Slamming the tainted Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and CM Bhagwant Mann for not taking any action against Kataruchak, Warring said that the government failed to register a case in the land scam. The 100 acres of mining-rich panchayat land were ‘illegally’ given to individuals, and the entire ‘scam’ was facilitated by Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak, alleged Warring.
The Punjab Governor, Shri Banwarilal Purohit, had also exhorted the Aam Aadmi Party government to suspend Lal Chand Kataruchak from the Cabinet, but Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann shielded his Blue-eyed boy, accused Warring.
Former CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that it was shameful that the minister, who had been accused of misconduct, was enjoying all the government facilities and was carrying out more illegal activities under the patronage of Bhagwant Mann. Lashing out at the incompetent AAP government, Warring said that not only did the government fail to maintain law and order, control illegal mining, or fulfil its promises, but it further supported illegal activities in the state. If the AAP government fails to register any case against the tainted leader, the Punjab Congress will launch a series of protests against the ruling government in the state.
