Pratima-Kiran quarrel uncovers shocking murder confession

In a chilling turn of events, the ongoing investigation into the murder of geoscientist Pratima, an officer in the mines department, has taken a shocking twist. The accused driver, Kiran, who had been working on a contract basis for four years, has been remanded in custody, shedding light on the previously mysterious circumstances surrounding the murder.

Pratima, who was assigned a new government vehicle by the department, found herself at the center of a quarrel with Kiran, her driver, and the accused killer. The rift between them began when the new car met with an accident, prompting Kiran to abandon the vehicle near the office and flee the scene.

After the accident, Kiran failed to report for work, leaving Pratima with no option but to temporarily hire a replacement driver. In desperation, she entrusted the vehicle’s key to the watchman. This unfortunate turn of events triggered a heated argument between Pratima and Kiran, with tensions escalating due to the car accident’s aftermath.

However, it was during this intense altercation that Kiran’s shocking revelation unfolded. According to the police, Kiran confessed during interrogation to suffocating Pratima. The exact details of the confession are yet to be disclosed, but it has sent shockwaves through the investigation.

In a swift response to this grim development, the police arrested Kiran, who has now been produced before the Magistrate Court. The 2nd Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Court, handling the case, granted the police’s request to remand Kiran in custody for ten days, extending his detention until November 15. The horrific nature of Pratima’s murder, coupled with the unexpected confession by Kiran, has left the community stunned. As the investigation proceeds, more details are expected to emerge, shedding light on the events that transpired on that fateful day.
