Political parties in tussle to prove their strength

Haryana’s politics scenario has been on the upswing recently following the results of civic body and Zilla Parishad elections. All factions tried to prove their dominance over each other. In the Zilla Parishad elections, the ruling BJP and JJP were embroiled in a tussle to some extent. Ranjit Singh. an Independent MLA who had extended the support to the BJP and holds the portfolio of Jain Minister in the BJP-BJP led government succeeded in defeating the JJP with the support of the Congress stalwart Bhupender singh Hooda. In continuation to this, all parties will hold a series of political activities in forthcoming few days in a bid to strengthen themselves and prove their dominance over opposite factions. Overwhelmed with the successful conduct of the ‘Bharat Joda Yatra’ in Haryana, the state Congress will start a new political campaign namely ”Hath Se Jodo Hath” on January 26 on the occasion of republic day and in a bid to make it successful conduct, a meeting was held pertaining to the preparations of the same. In wake of the positive feedback and huge gathering reported during ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, the Haryana Congress is making every possible effort to maintain its influence and momentum in the state. Explaining about the ‘Hath Se Jodo Hath’ program of the, Congress Bhupender Singh Hooda and the Leader Of opposition said that the party meeting was held on the January 25 regarding this . “Haryana Congress will leave no stone unturned to make this program a success. Like Bharat Jodo Yatra, this program will also get historical support in Haryana. Further he said, under this campaign, Congress will go to booth, block, village and district. 1-1 district level program will be organized in every district. In this series, the the ruling BJP has decided to hold a rally of of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on January 29 in Gohana to woo the Jat voters as well as the farmers as both are believed to be annoyed with the ruling BJP over a certain set of issues for a long time. Notably, the agrarian community and the BJP have been at loggerheads for pertaining to several issues. Few days ago, the farmers had given an ultimatum to the state government to bycott the aforesaid rally in case the BJP led government failed to fulfill their demand to increase the market rate sugarcane. In wake of this, the Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal has given a nod of an increase of Rs 10 per quintal in sugarcane rates on January 25 ahead of the rally.
