Police Recovers 30 Bullets and Grenade in Reasi

Jammu, July 15: In a significant find, police have recovered approximately 30 old and rusted bullets of AK-47, an AK-47 magazine, and a grenade in Reasi District on Monday.

Acting on reliable information about a potential terrorist hideout in the general area of Mahore Sub Division, the Reasi Police launched a cordon and search operation. The operation, led by the police party of Police Component Shikari along with Dy.SP PC Sarh Mahore, took place in the Dalantop area of Mahore.

“During the search and cordon operation, the police party recovered old-rusted arms and ammunition from Dalantop area of Shikari,” the police said.

The recoveries include 30 rounds of AK-47, one AK magazine, and one grenade. SSP Reasi, Ms. Mohita Sharma (IPS), emphasized that all possible measures should be taken to thwart the nefarious designs of anti-national elements. “Further investigations are ongoing,” she added.

This recovery is a part of the ongoing efforts to maintain security and thwart potential threats in the region.
