PM Modi’s Visit to Jammu & Kashmir: Know the Full Schedule and Agenda

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Jammu and Kashmir on June 20 and 21, during which he will launch a series of development projects and lead the International Yoga Day celebrations in Srinagar. According to a government press release, the visit aims to empower the youth and upgrade infrastructure in the region.

Full Schedule of PM Modi’s Visit:

June 20: Inauguration and Foundation Laying Ceremonies

Time: Around 6 PM

Projects:

– 84 development projects worth over Rs 1500 crore, focusing on road infrastructure, water supply schemes, and higher education infrastructure.

– Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP): Valued at Rs 1800 crore.

– Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri Section: Aims to improve connectivity and transportation in the region.

– Industrial Estates Development: Expected to boost economic growth and create employment opportunities.

– Construction of 06 Government Degree Colleges: To provide accessible higher education to the local population.

– Appointment Letters: Distribution of appointment letters to over 2000 people selected for various government positions.

June 21: International Yoga Day Celebrations

Time: Approximately 6:30 AM

Venue: Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), Srinagar.

Events:

– PM Modi will deliver a speech to the assembled audience.

– He will participate in a Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) session, practising yoga alongside attendees.

PM Modi’s visit underscores the central government’s commitment to the development and empowerment of Jammu and Kashmir, focusing on enhancing infrastructure, education, and economic opportunities, while also promoting health and well-being through the celebration of International Yoga Day.
