PM Modi To Inaugurate Rajasthan High Court Museum, Celebrate Lakhpati Didis’ Success

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set for a busy schedule on Sunday with visits to Maharashtra and Rajasthan. He will begin his day in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, where he will participate in the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan, followed by a visit to Jodhpur to address the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Rajasthan High Court.

Platinum Jubilee of Rajasthan High Court

In the afternoon, PM Modi will be the Chief Guest at the concluding ceremony of the Rajasthan High Court’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The event will take place at the High Court Campus in Jodhpur, where the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Rajasthan High Court Museum. This museum will showcase the rich history and evolution of the judiciary in Rajasthan, offering visitors a glimpse into the state’s legal heritage.

Empowering Women Through the Lakhpati Didi Yojana

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi will attend the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. This event is part of the government’s initiative to empower women through the Lakhpati Didi Yojana. The scheme, managed by the Rural Development Ministry, aims to uplift women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) by enabling them to achieve a sustainable annual household income of Rs 1 lakh or more.

At the Sammelan, PM Modi will distribute certificates and felicitate 11 lakh new Lakhpati Didis who have recently achieved this milestone during the third term of the NDA Government. These women, who are now earning an average monthly income exceeding Rs 10,000, serve as an inspiration for their communities by adopting sustainable livelihood practices.

Financial Boost for SHGs

The Prime Minister will also release a revolving fund of Rs 2,500 crore to benefit 48 lakh members of 4.3 lakh SHGs across the country. Additionally, he will disburse bank loans worth Rs 5,000 crore, which will benefit 25.8 lakh members of 2.35 lakh SHGs. Since the inception of the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, one crore women have already become Lakhpati Didis, with a target of empowering three crore women under the scheme.

A New Era of Empowerment

The Lakhpati Didi scheme is not just about financial inclusion; it focuses on empowering women to pursue entrepreneurial ventures and achieve a decent standard of living. Through SHGs, these women receive crucial financial literacy, skill development, and livelihood assistance, fostering collective action and mutual support within their communities.

As PM Modi addresses the Platinum Jubilee of the Rajasthan High Court and celebrates the achievements of Lakhpati Didis, these events mark significant milestones in India’s journey towards judicial excellence and women’s empowerment.
