Prime Minister Narendra Modi stayed awake through the night to oversee Operation Sindoor. The Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force launched coordinated missile strikes on terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), reported ANI.
India Strikes Nine Terror Targets
Early Wednesday morning, Indian forces carried out precise attacks on nine locations linked to terror groups. These sites included camps operated by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Both groups have been involved in deadly attacks in India.
The Defence Ministry confirmed the strikes and said, “Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature.” Notably, the military avoided targeting any Pakistani military facility. These attacks came in direct response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror incident, where 26 people, including a Nepali national, lost their lives.
Forces Used Advanced Weapons
The Indian military used cutting-edge weapons in this operation. These included loitering munitions that hover before striking. All strikes were launched from Indian territory. According to sources, intelligence agencies provided the exact coordinates of the targets. This helped ensure accuracy and minimize civilian harm.
Pakistan Violates Ceasefire
Soon after the strikes, Pakistan fired artillery shells in the Bhimber Gali area of Jammu and Kashmir. Officials said the Indian Army responded in a “calibrated manner” to avoid escalation.
The Army posted an update on X:
“Pakistan again violates the Ceasefire Agreement by firing artillery in Bhimber Gali in the Poonch-Rajouri area. The Indian Army is responding appropriately.”

Operation Sindoor Hits Bahawalpur Base
The Indian Army also struck Bahawalpur, which is known to be a stronghold of the JeM group. All these hits were part of Operation Sindoor. The Defence Ministry released an official statement at 1:44 am. It repeated that the strikes were “focused, measured, and non-escalatory.” Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the operation. He said, “an act of war,” and warned that Pakistan reserves the right to respond accordingly.
