PM Modi launches many development projects worth Rs 7,200 crore in Telangana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a range of development projects totaling Rs 7,200 crore in Sangareddy, Telangana, on Tuesday, covering key sectors such as road, rail, petroleum, and natural gas. Among the inaugurated projects were three National Highway initiatives, including the four-lane, 40 km Kandi to Ramsanpalle section of NH-161, a crucial segment of the Indore – Hyderabad Economic Corridor. This project is expected to enhance connectivity between Telangana, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh, significantly reducing travel time between Hyderabad and Nanded.

Additionally, the PM inaugurated the upgraded 47 km long Miryalaguda to the Kodad Section of NH-167 and laid the foundation stone for the six-laning of the 29 km long Pune-Hyderabad Section of NH-65, contributing to improved connectivity and economic growth in the region.

PM Modi also flagged off the inaugural MMTS Train Service from Ghatkesar to Lingampalli, extending suburban train services to new areas, facilitating safe and efficient transportation between the eastern and western parts of the Hyderabad – Secunderabad twin city regions.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Indian Oil Paradip-Hyderabad Product Pipeline, a 1212 km pipeline traversing through Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, ensuring the safe and economical transportation of petroleum products.

In Hyderabad, PM Modi inaugurated the Civil Aviation Research Organization (CARO) center at Begumpet Airport. This state-of-the-art facility, costing over Rs 350 crores, is designed to enhance Research and Development (R&D) activities in the civil aviation sector, addressing challenges related to airspace and airports.

PM Modi’s visit to Telangana is part of a larger itinerary covering Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar from March 4 to 6.
