PM Modi Holds High-Tea For Probable Ministers; View Potential Candidates

Prime minister-designate Narendra Modi is hosting high tea at his house for his probable ministers, which started at 11:30 am today.

Ahead of swearing-in-ceremony, take a look at probable ministerial candidates who might make it to Modi 3.0 cabinet.

According to News18 sources, former Karnataka CM and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy has demanded agriculture portfolio. It is hinted, that from JD(U), the ministerial berths will probably go to Lalan Singh, Sanjay Kumar Jha, Ram Nath Thakur, Sunil Kumar, and Kaushalendra Kumar.

And ministers like Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari will likely be retained.

But as per Hindustan times sources, TDP is asking for 5 cabinet berths and two for its ally Jana Sena.

It is said, that TDP winner from Srikakulam, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu is likely to get the portfolio.

Meanwhile other alliance partner who are likely to get berths include Chirag Paswan, Anupriya Patel, chief of Apna Dal Party; Jayant Chaudhary, chief of Rashtriya Lok Dal; and Hindustani Awam Morcha Chief Jitan Ram Manjhi.

Moreover, from BJP, leaders like DK Aruna, D Arvind, Basavaraj Bommai, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Biplab Dev, Nitin Gadkari, Suresh Gopi​, Piyush Goyal etc. might get ministries.

It remains to be seen, who will ultimately secure a position in the cabinet and council of ministers during this third term.
