PM Narendra Modi once again lifted the traditional gamcha in the air during Nitish Kumar’s oath ceremony in Patna. The gesture instantly reminded everyone of the moment when he celebrated the NDA’s big victory at the BJP headquarters. Nitish Kumar made history by taking oath as Bihar’s CM for the tenth time. The ceremony took place at Gandhi Maidan in the presence of top NDA leaders. The massive attendance showed the alliance’s confidence after securing a strong mandate in the state.
The event brought together leaders from the BJP, JD(U), and other NDA partners as Bihar prepared for a new term under a familiar leadership.

The swearing-in ceremony drew major national and regional leaders, including PM Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and chief ministers Nayab Singh Saini, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Neiphiu Rio. Their presence turned the event into a significant show of strength for the NDA.
PTI reported that a three-day assembly session will begin on November 26, during which the Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be elected and new members will take the oath.
The NDA’s dominant win — 202 seats in the 243-member House, with the BJP bagging 89, JD(U) 85, LJP(RV) 19, HAM(S) 5, and RLM 4 — sets a strong foundation for the alliance as it begins its new term in Bihar.
