PM Modi Affirms ‘Mere Bharat, Mera Parivar’ Ahead of Lok Sabha Polls Announcement

On March 16, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a campaign video titled “Main Modi Ka Parivar Hun” ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The video features individuals who have benefited from a range of welfare schemes, including farmers and poor households, expressing their support for the Prime Minister and declaring themselves as part of Mr. Modi’s family.

Sharing the video on X, the Prime Minister stated, “Mere Bharat, Mera Parivar.”

The Prime Minister frequently refers to the citizens of the country as “my family members.” A recent remark by opposition leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, suggesting that the Prime Minister has no family, has led him to underscore his bond with the people of India, whom Modi has stated are his family members.

Several BJP leaders also distributed his letter to the people, in which he requested their input and backing in constructing a “Developed India,” expressing certainty that together they would elevate the nation to new heights.

Referring to the citizens as “dear family member,” the Prime Minister remarked that their collaboration is on the brink of reaching a decade, and the trust and backing of 1.4 billion Indians inspire and drive him.

“The transformation that has taken place in the lives of the people is the biggest achievement of our government over the last 10 years. These transformative outcomes are the result of the sincere efforts made by a determined government to improve the quality of life for the poor, farmers, youth and women,” he said.

He noted that the achievements of initiatives benefiting the underprivileged, such as the construction of solid houses, provision of electricity, water, and LPG to all, free medical care through Ayushman Bharat, financial aid to farmers, and support to women through various schemes, have been made possible solely because of the trust they have vested in him.

“I am confident that we will continue to take our nation to great heights together,” Prime Minister Modi said.

“Our nation is moving forward taking both tradition and modernity hand in hand. While the last decade witnessed unprecedented construction of next generation infrastructure, there has also been a rejuvenation of our rich national and cultural heritage,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi remarked that the ability of his government to make historic decisions such as implementing GST, revoking Article 370, enacting a new law on triple talaq, reserving seats for women to increase their representation in Parliament, inaugurating a new Parliament building, and taking strong measures against terrorism and Left-Wing Extremism is indicative of the trust and support of the people.
