The East Division CEN police in Bengaluru arrested a paying guest facility owner on Sunday for allegedly harassing a 24-year-old woman online after she left a negative review about his establishment on Google. The accused, Anand Sharma, 32, a resident of Sheshadripura and originally from Rajasthan, posted the woman’s photos online, advertising her as a “call girl,” according to police.
“The woman left the PG due to lack of maintenance and inadequate facilities. She posted a negative review on Google. In response, Anand Sharma took a photo of the woman that she submitted during her PG documentation and posted it on the classifieds portal ‘Locanto’, falsely stating that she was a call girl and uploaded her contact number,” a police officer said.
The woman began receiving calls from individuals seeking a “female escort.” She then approached the East CEN police and filed a complaint, leading to Anand’s arrest.
