On Tuesday, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched the ‘Pathashree-Rastashree’ initiative in Singur, Bengal.
‘Pathashree-Rastashree’ is a flagship initiative of the West Bengal administration that will build 12,000 kilometers of roads in 22 districts of the state to improve road infrastructure and connectivity to villages. Tapas Roy, TMC MLA, and Barrackpore Organization District Secretary stated that the initiative will include the construction of 12,000 kilometers of roads in 22 districts across the state.
Mamata Banerjee stated at a public meeting in Singur that the fund used for the initiative is not funded by the Centre, but by the state.
She went on to say that it was the fault of the state administration to support GST.
“They are taking all the money in the name of GST.” It was our responsibility to support the GST. “We thought it would be beneficial to us,” she explained.
Notably, the project was unveiled by state finance minister Chandrima Bhattacharya on February 15 during the presentation of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly’s Budget.
