Panchkula: Mystery Surrounds Nurse’s Suicide in Sector 19; Police Investigate

A 32-year-old nurse from a private hospital was found dead in her rental accommodation in Sector 19, following an apparent suicide by hanging on the night of Monday to Tuesday. The victim, identified as Pallavi, had been living with her husband, Amit, whom she married four years ago. The couple, reportedly childless, had been facing personal challenges, and Pallavi was said to be suffering from depression.

On the night of the incident, Amit was in another room when he discovered that Pallavi’s room was locked from the inside. After forcibly opening the door, he found Pallavi hanging from a ceiling fan. He immediately notified the police, who arrived at the scene along with forensic experts.

The body was subsequently sent to Panchkula Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. The police are awaiting the results of the autopsy to proceed with their investigation. They have also recorded statements from Pallavi’s relatives, who traveled from Uttar Pradesh.

The police have stated that the investigation is ongoing and that further inquiries will continue as they await the post-mortem report.
