In a key meeting with the Chief Ministers and Governors of Indian states bordering Pakistan and Nepal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized the importance of maintaining uninterrupted access to essential goods and services. The directive comes under the nationwide security preparedness initiative Operation Sindoor.

Amit Shah instructed states to keep rescue and relief forces, including the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Civil Defence, Home Guards, and National Cadet Corps (NCC) on standby. These forces are expected to respond quickly to any emergency or threat along the border regions.
Countering anti-national propaganda
The Home Minister also urged the states to monitor all media platforms, especially social media, and take swift action against any anti-national propaganda. Officials were told to maintain seamless communication and strong security measures at sensitive locations.
