In Greater Noida, a dhaba owner and a waiter were reportedly stabbed by two customers after a slight delay in serving salad, according to the police. Both suspects have been taken into custody.
The incident occurred around 10 pm on Thursday at ‘Vishal Hotel’ in Achchheja, located within the Badalpur police station jurisdiction. The two individuals involved have been identified as Amit Kumar and Sanjay Singh.
Rajpal Nagar, the owner of the dhaba, described that Amit and Sanjay arrived at the roadside eatery under the influence of alcohol. “After they requested a side of salad, there was a minor delay in serving it. Their impatience led them to attack the waiter with a knife,” he said. “I rushed to intervene, but they then turned the knife on me. I had to get stitches on my hand,” he added. The waiter is also recovering from his injuries.
The accused are also alleged to have used abusive language and issued death threats. Badalpur SHO Amresh Singh confirmed that both men were promptly arrested following the complaint.
