On Wednesday night, a blast occurred in Hiranagar, Jammu and Kashmir, prompting a massive search operation in the region.
In the late evening hours of Wednesday, an explosion-like sound was reported near BPP Sanyal, which is located along the International Border (IB) in Hiranagar, Kathua district, according to Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Mukesh Singh. Official stated that the explosion occurred within the confines of the Hiranagar police station, which is located close to the international border in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
After learning about the explosion, a police team headed by SSP Kathua Shivdeep Singh rushed to the scene and began searching.
So far, no injuries have been recorded.
According to the official, no movement of any article or human being was noticed during the preliminary search.
“As soon as we received information about the big bang sound blast, our police teams rushed to the scene and began a search operation,” SSP Kathua Shivdeep Singh said.
He also stated that our forensic team has gathered samples from the scene and that further investigation will begin in the morning.
According to Ram Lal Kalia, a local resident of Sanyal village, the blast caused panic among the locals.
