In response to the terror attack on Indian tourists in Pahalgam on April 22, allegedly by Pakistan-sponsored militants, the Indian Navy launched a major deployment of its Carrier Battle Group, submarines, and aviation forces.
Combat-Ready Operations in Arabian Sea
Within 96 hours of the attack, the Indian Navy began full-scale operations in the Northern Arabian Sea. Multiple weapon firings were conducted to test and enhance crew readiness, weapons systems, and platform precision against selected targets.
Coordinated Military Action
The force deployment was part of a coordinated operational plan involving the Indian Army and Indian Air Force. This joint posture aimed at creating a strong deterrence against any potential aggression.
Pakistan Forced into Defensive Posture
With the Indian Navy positioned aggressively, Pakistan’s naval and air assets were reportedly forced into defensive positions near their coastlines and inside harbours. The Indian side claims this played a key role in Pakistan’s urgent call for a ceasefire.
Continued Naval Readiness
The Indian Navy remains deployed at sea in a strong deterrent posture, prepared to respond decisively to any hostile action from Pakistan or terrorist elements based there.
