Mumbai: Police Cracks Spa Murder Case Due To Tattooed Names, Check How Suspects Were Caught

On Thursday, the police apprehended the three suspects, the day after the crime was committed in Mumbai.

They managed to catch the suspect just by 22 Tattooed name which were mentioned by killed history sheeter Guru Waghmare. He had tattooed names of those individuals, who can potentially harm him.

As per the victim Guru Waghmare was allegedly a Right to Information activist. But various criminal cases were lodged against him, as Guru used to coerce spa owners of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar to pay him the money since 2010.

According to the official, cases of extortion, rape and molestation were lodged against him.

On Wednesday at early hours, he was murdered central Mumbai’s Soft Touch Spa at Worli.

What Happened?

According to the official, the tattooed names of his alleged enemies were written in thighs. This was found during the autopsy.

In addition, the police also revealed, that it was the owner of the spa Santosh Sherekar, who was involved in Guru’s murder.

He did it, because he was tired of Guru’s extortionist activities and threats. Hence, he decided to allegedly take contract killer’s help to eliminate him.

Later, he paid Rs 6 lakh to fellow spa owner to 26-year-old Mohammed Feroze Ansari to murder Guru.

What’s notable is, that Ansari was also owned a spa at Nallasopara, which is located near Mumbai. But it was closed off due to raid. This raid happened when Guru complained to the establishment.

In order to halt Waghmare’s complaint and stop him extortionist activities, Ansari then came to Sherekar. Then sherekar demanded him to remove waghmare.

Then, Ansari called a person from Delhi, whose name was Saquib Ansari and then they planned the conspiracy three months ago.

According to the official, they planned to murder Guru at the spa itself, after studying his movements for 3 months.

Then On Wednesday, Feroze & Saquib came inside the spa at 1:30 am and then they transferred Guru’s 21-year-old girlfriend to another room. Later, they killed the man via blade of scissors. One of the accused stabbed one of the blades in stomach and another was used for silting the throat.

How Police Cracked the Case?

As per Girlfriend claim, she got to know about the murder the following day at about 9:30 am.

Then, she told sherekar, who then approached the police. Later, Sherekar was summoned for questioning and was then apprehended following the interrogation for the whole day.

As for other two suspects, Feroze Ansari was apprehended by crime branch at suburban Nalasopara and saquib was caught from Rajasthan’s Kota, who was then en-route to Delhi.

In addition, two more people were also caught. Currently, role of Guru’s girlfriend in the killing is also being probed.
