Addressing the media in Bhopal, Chouhan declared, “Skipping Delhi, I’m off to Chhindwara. Our goal: all 29 Lok Sabha seats in MP. A 29-Lotus garland for PM Modi to return as our nation’s Prime Minister.”
Celebrating the ‘Ram Rath Yatra’ at his Bhopal residence, Chouhan expressed joy over the imminent consecration of Lord Ram’s grand temple in Ayodhya by PM Modi on January 22, next year.
Amid speculation among senior BJP leaders vying for the Chief Minister’s post after the party’s resounding triumph in the state’s recent assembly polls, Chouhan clarified his stance, stating he never aspired to the position and remains a committed party worker.
“I’ve never aimed for the Chief Minister’s post—not then, not now. I’ll tirelessly carry out any party duties entrusted to me. Working with PM Narendra Modi has always been a source of pride,” Chouhan emphasized in his statement to ANI.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Congress Chief Kamal Nath held a review meeting with party candidates in Bhopal, expressing optimism among party workers and announcing plans to travel to Delhi.
Madhya Pradesh’s recent assembly elections on November 17 saw the BJP secure a resounding victory with 163 out of 230 seats. The Congress trailed with 66 seats, while the Bharat Adivasi Party won a single seat, as announced last Sunday along with the results of three other states.
