Militants Attack Tourist Reception Center and Sunday Market with Grenade in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir – In a sudden outbreak of violence, militants launched a grenade attack on a vehicle carrying security forces near the Tourist Reception Center (TRC) and the crowded Sunday market in Srinagar, creating panic among locals and tourists. The grenade reportedly exploded on the road, injuring at least 15 people, including civilians, who were present in the busy area.

The incident took place earlier today, disrupting one of the city’s most frequented areas, popular with both residents and visitors. Injured individuals have been taken to nearby hospitals, and medical personnel are on high alert to provide necessary care.

Security forces swiftly cordoned off the area, and search operations are underway to trace those responsible for the attack. The authorities are closely monitoring the situation, and heightened security measures have been put in place to prevent further disturbances.

This attack adds to a recent series of militant incidents in the region, fueling concerns about ongoing security challenges in Jammu and Kashmir. Further updates on the condition of the injured and details from the investigation are expected as the situation develops.
