In the early hours of Wednesday, Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor, a high-precision military campaign targeting terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). The strikes came as a strong response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 civilians, including tourists.
Three Forces, One Mission
The Army, Navy, and Air Force worked together to carry out the operation. They used advanced weapon systems and pinpoint intelligence to strike their targets. In total, they hit nine terror camps — five in PoK and four in mainland Pakistan.
Terror Groups Targeted
These camps were linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Both groups have a long record of carrying out deadly attacks in India.
India’s Official Stand
Soon after the operation, the Ministry of Defence issued a statement. It said, “Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted.” The ministry made it clear that India aimed to neutralize terror threats without escalating tensions.
A Historic Military Move
This strike marked one of India’s deepest cross-border operations since the 1971 war. It showcased India’s resolve to respond swiftly and strategically to terrorism.
