A day after a 75-year-old man was discovered dead in a shop in the national capital’s Krishna Nagar, police arrested the suspect in Rohtak after a massive search, officers said on Monday.
The accused was identified as Amandeep, and the deceased as Kuldeep Singh, both of South Anarkali, Jagatpuri. Around 2.45 p.m., officers received information that a person had been abducted.
The police arrived on the scene and began an investigation after receiving the information.
“CCTV footage from the location was obtained and analyzed.” “It was discovered that Kuldeep rode his scooter to a shop in Krishna Nagar,” an officer said.
“On further analysis of the footage, it was observed that he didn’t come out of the shop and it was closed by the suspect around 1.40 pm,” the officer added.
The sleuths claimed that after suspecting foul play, they broke the shop’s lock and discovered the deceased’s body.
A police report was filed at the Jagatpuri police station. More research is being conducted.
