In the Kasargod district of Kerala, one individual has been detained for lifting and throwing a little girl to the ground when she was on the road.
Aboobecker Siddique, a drug addict who lives in the area, has been identified as the accused, according to authorities.
The incident occurred a few days ago, as the minor waited for her uncle to pick her up from the madrassa in Manjeeswaram, Mangalpady.
CCTV footage of the event shows the man approaching the girl wearing a hijab and striking her severely. After that, he raises her and drops her on the ground. The man is then observed leaving the area in a nonchalant manner.
The girl was reportedly in shock and unable to explain what had happened, according to the police. She later explained to her uncle that a stranger had struck her. She wasn’t hurt on the outside, but she was rushed to the hospital for a thorough examination.
After the incident, there was a stir when CCTV footage was extensively circulated on social media.
The arrest was documented, and a case was lodged under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and Indian Penal Code (IPC) 307 (attempt to murder).
