Man Arrested for Allegedly Molesting Woman on Delhi-Chennai IndiGo Flight

A 45-year-old man, Rajesh Sharma, was arrested for allegedly molesting a female co-passenger during an IndiGo Airlines flight from Delhi to Chennai. Sharma, who works as a marble tile layer, was taken into custody at the Chennai airport after the flight landed on October 9.

Incident Details

The woman, who was returning home after a trip to Jaipur and Delhi, reported that the accused, seated behind her on the flight, touched her inappropriately. According to a police officer, the incident occurred during the flight, leading to her filing a complaint with the local authorities once they arrived in Chennai.

Investigation Underway

The local police assisted the woman in filing a written complaint, and an investigation into the matter is currently in progress. As of now, IndiGo Airlines has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
