A statement from the Election Commission confirmed that the press conference will disclose the timeline for the 2024 general elections to the Legislative Assemblies of Maharashtra and Jharkhand. The 288-member Maharashtra Assembly’s term ends in November 2024, while the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly’s term will conclude on January 5, 2025.
