Khan Sir’s quiet wedding, inspired by Tejashwi Yadav, goes viral with their humorous exchange at the Patna reception. Khan Sir reveals how his simple wedding mirrored Tejashwi Yadav’s example, sparking a viral exchange at the reception in Patna.
Internet’s popular educator Faizal Khan, also famously known as Khan Sir, hosted a grand wedding reception in Patna on Monday. His wife, AS Khan, made her first public appearance during the ceremony, which also attracted top political figures, including Bihar’s Leader Arif Mohammad, Deputy Chief Minister Smarat Chaudhary, and the Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav.
Viral Moment Between Khan Sir & Tejashwi Yadav
A humorous exchange between Khan Sir and Tejashwi Yadav was the evening’s high point. In the widely shared video, Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, questions, “Kya hua, byah kab hua?” (What happened, when did you get married?) and Khan Sir replies, “Abhi jo India-Pakistan conflict chal raha tha, usi beech.” (During the recent India-Pakistan conflict).
Khan Sir’s response was followed by him humorously admitting that he followed Tejashwi Yadav’s example of a low-key wedding, saying, “Model aap hi ka tha sir… chupchaap se karke baad main batana hai. 12-13 log the sir… Humne socha kahan se copy karenge, aapka hi copy kar liya sir.”
Inspiration taken from Tejashwi’s Private Wedding
Tejashwi Yadav tied the knot with his partner Rachel Godinho in a small, private ceremony in December 2021, only attended by close family and friends at his sister Misa Bharti’s farmhouse in Delhi’s Sainik Farms.
At that time, the low-profile wedding was meant to provide both the families an opportunity to connect better without the distractions of a large gathering, explained Tejashwi Yadav. In addition to that, the concerns about COVID-19 safety procedures and the desire to prevent the chaos that occurred at his older brother Tej Pratap Yadav’s wedding were all contributing factors in his choice for a small, private ceremony.
From a Simple Wedding to a Grand Reception
Khan Sir had initially disclosed the news of his marriage to his students during a live class, saying that they were the first to know. While the wedding was a low-key affair, the reception at a Patna luxury hotel was a grand occasion attended by a number of prominent personalities from the political and educational fields. The Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Education Minister Sunil Kumar, Union Minister of State
Raj Bhushan Nishad, former Minister Mukesh Sahni, Neetu Ma’am, and Alakh Pandey (Physics Wallah) were among the prominent individuals present.
The Sabri Brothers gave a grand performance at the reception. Khan Sir’s parents and his extended family were also in attendance, marking their first public appearance.
