Key INDIA Bloc Leaders Convene in Delhi, TMC and PDP Absent

Top leaders of the INDIA bloc are scheduled to convene in New Delhi on Saturday to strategize for the upcoming vote counting on June 4. Despite the absence of the TMC and PDP, senior figures from parties such as Congress, CPI-M, CPI, DMK, A, RJD, Shiv Sena, and NCP will gather at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence. Notable attendees include Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Rahul Gandhi, and K C Venugopal. While TMC’s Mamata Banerjee cited ongoing elections in West Bengal for her non-attendance, PDP’s Mehbooba Mufti cited personal reasons. The meeting aims to discuss counting day preparations, emphasizing vigilance over EVMs and the use of Form 17C. National Conference president Farooq Abdullah is expected to attend, further highlighting the significance of the gathering ahead of the final phase of Lok Sabha elections.
