Kejriwal’s wife alleges jail plot, insulin denial; INDIA Bloc supports

Sunita Kejriwal, Kejriwal’s wife, has made serious allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Centre, accusing them of monitoring every morsel her husband consumes and attempting to “kill” him in jail by denying him insulin. Speaking at the ‘Nyay Ulgulan Rally’ organized by INDIA bloc leaders, she expressed concerns about her husband’s well-being and reiterated his commitment to serving the nation.
At the rally in Ranchi, Jharkhand, which protested the arrests of key opposition figures including Arvind Kejriwal and former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, Sunita Kejriwal emphasized that her husband’s sole focus is on national service and not power. She detailed the challenges he faces in jail, alleging that his insulin needs are being neglected as part of a larger conspiracy against him.
“He is a sugar patient, and he has been taking 50 units of insulin every day for the last 12 years. But he is not being given insulin in jail. They want to kill Delhi’s CM,” she stated, reflecting the gravity of the situation as perceived by Kejriwal’s family and supporters.
Addressing the promises made by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Sunita Kejriwal reiterated the party’s commitments, including 24-hour electricity without power cuts, free electricity for the poor, quality education in government schools, healthcare initiatives like Mohalla clinics, and support for farmers.
The Tihar Jail Administration recently submitted a report to the Delhi Lieutenant Governor regarding Kejriwal’s health status, refuting claims that he was being denied insulin. This comes amidst legal battles over Kejriwal’s health care access in jail, with a court hearing scheduled to address these concerns.
The political atmosphere surrounding Kejriwal’s arrest and subsequent health issues highlights the intense dynamics in Indian politics, particularly as the country approaches crucial election phases. The allegations made by Sunita Kejriwal resonate with broader discussions about political power and accountability, especially in the context of opposition leaders facing legal challenges.
The INDIA bloc’s rallies, both in Jharkhand and Delhi, underscore a unified opposition voice calling for democratic norms and fairness in governance, setting the stage for a charged political discourse in the run-up to the elections.
