Rewa witnessed a large rally organised by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) this Monday, where Arvind Kejriwal, AAP’s National Coordinator and Delhi’s Chief Minister, took the stage. Despite being in the I.N.D.I.A. alliance with Congress, Kejriwal didn’t hold back in criticising them, suggesting past arrangements in Delhi of alternating power and alleged corruption. He emphasised, “Before AAP, two parties in Delhi had an understanding – one term for you, one for us.”
Kejriwal further took a shot at the leading Madhya Pradesh parties, stating, “Remove Congress and BJP once, and you’ll forget them.” Highlighting AAP’s achievements in Delhi and Punjab, particularly in education and healthcare, he asserted that no other party has the determination to build comparable schools and hospitals.
The Chief Minister then outlined ten guarantees for the people of Madhya Pradesh, including 24-hour electricity, improved government schools, free medical care, and robust anti-corruption measures. These promises, Kejriwal claims, showcase AAP’s commitment to transformative development in the state.
Punjab’s Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, and AAP’s Madhya Pradesh president, Rani Agarwal, also graced the event. Among the highlights of Mann’s speech was a call to compare AAP’s 18-month governance with 18 years of Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s rule.
AAP has revealed its intention to contest all 230 seats in the Madhya Pradesh assembly, indicating its ambition to have a significant impact in the upcoming elections.
