Karnataka polls: BJP to release list of candidates on 8 April

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai stated on Tuesday that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Parliamentary Board would complete and publish the list of candidates for the state’s forthcoming Assembly elections on April 8.

According to the Chief Minister, the contenders were chosen based on their likelihood of winning. Elections for the Karnataka Assembly will take place on May 10 and the results will be tallied on May 13.

He further said that the names recommended by the district committees will be discussed during the State Core Committee meeting on Tuesday and then sent to the Central Parliamentary Board.

Reiterating that the party will return to power in the assembly polls, he said, Witnessing developments in the last three to four days, the BJP will get an absolute majority in the coming assembly polls.”

“Unexpected results would come in some constituencies.” “The rank and file of the party are confident of the BJP getting a full majority in the May 10 polls,” he said.

“The Congress Party will not come to power, and they are fighting for the seats that they cannot win,” Bommai said, pointing to the fighting taking place in the Congress. That party is not doing well for the people of Karnataka; instead, it is vying for control and the position of chief minister. The statements made by Siddaramaiah reveal what is going on within the Congress party. Siddaramaiah has been claiming to be the CM, while KPCC President DKShivakumar has been going around asking for approval to become the CM.
