Journalist Killed in Knife Attack in Uttar Pradesh; Colleague Injured

A journalist was killed in a knife attack in the Sadar Kotwali area of Fatehpur district, Uttar Pradesh. His colleague was seriously injured during the incident. Police arrested four suspects connected to the attack.

Details of the Attack

Dilip Saini, 45, was a local correspondent. He was attacked by a group with knives near the Bhitaura bypass on Wednesday night. His colleague, Shahid Khan, tried to help him and got injured in the process.

Medical Response

Emergency responders rushed Saini to a Kanpur hospital. Sadly, he later died from his injuries. Currently, Khan is receiving treatment for his wounds.

Legal Action Taken

The police opened a case after Saini’s wife filed a complaint. This complaint names seven individuals and several unknown assailants.

Possible Motive Behind the Attack

Initial investigations suggest that a land dispute may have motivated the attack. Therefore, authorities continue to investigate to uncover more details about the incident.
