J&K Cracks Down: Four Government Employees Fired for Alleged Terror Ties

Kashmir: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has terminated four government employees for their alleged involvement in activities detrimental to national security. The dismissed individuals, hailing from various departments, include two police constables, a junior assistant from the School Education Department, and a village level worker from the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj. The action was taken under Article 311 of the Indian Constitution.

The dismissed employees are accused of engaging in activities linked to terrorism and drug trafficking, as identified by law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Their actions were deemed to pose significant threats to state security.

Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone, a police constable from Tral, Pulwama, was found guilty of supplying and transporting arms and ammunition to facilitate terror activities.

Bazil Ahmad Mir, a junior assistant from the School Education Department in Kupwara, was allegedly involved in operating a drug syndicate and had close ties with terrorist and secessionist networks.

Mushtaq Ahmad Pir, a selection grade constable from Handwara, Kupwara, was accused of collaborating with drug smugglers across the Pakistan border and running a drug cartel in North Kashmir. His activities were reportedly linked to the narco-terror syndicate and terrorist networks.

Mohd. Zaid Shah, a village level worker from Uri, Baramulla, was implicated in receiving and distributing heroin from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). He was said to play a crucial role in generating funds through drug trade to support terrorist activities in the region.

The Jammu and Kashmir Government has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards anti-national elements within its ranks. This decisive action underscores the administration’s commitment to maintaining security and order in the region.

The dismissal of these employees is part of ongoing efforts to root out any infiltration of anti-national elements within the government service, ensuring that public servants uphold the integrity and security of the state.
