India’s Precise Air Strikes Forced Pakistan to Seek US Help for Ceasefire

India’s powerful military response on the night of May 10 compelled Pakistan to urgently reach out to the United States, asking for help to stop the escalating conflict.

Indian Air Force Struck Four Key Pakistani Bases

The Indian Air Force (IAF) launched accurate air strikes on four major Pakistani air bases. These strikes reportedly destroyed an airborne early warning aircraft and damaged several air defence systems. As per a Hindustan Times report, the intense offensive forced Islamabad to seek a ceasefire.

Navy Was Ready to Target Karachi

At the same time, the Indian Navy had deployed its fleet about 260 miles off the Makaran Coast. They were prepared to attack the Karachi Naval Port on the morning of May 10. This aggressive move further pushed Pakistan to request a truce.

Rafale and Sukhoi Jets Fired Advanced Missiles

On that night, India used Rafale jets to fire SCALP missiles and SU-30 MKI aircraft to launch BrahMos missiles. These targeted Pakistan’s northern air command and control network at the Nur Khan airbase in Chaklala. The IAF also struck Jacobabad and Bholari air bases.

India Took Down Pakistan’s AWACS

Using its S-400 air defence system stationed in Adampur, India reportedly destroyed a SAAB-2000 airborne early warning system belonging to Pakistan. The plane was flying 315 km deep into Pakistani territory. Due to earlier strikes, Pakistan’s own air defence could not stop the missile.

Several Pakistani Fighter Jets Destroyed

Sources quoted by Hindustan Times claimed that India has concrete evidence showing the destruction of multiple Pakistani fighter jets. This included a C-130 J transport aircraft, one JF-17, and two F-16s—both in the air and on the ground.

India Targeted China-Made HQ-9 System

India also focused on taking down Chinese military hardware used by Pakistan. The HQ-9 surface-to-air missile system—China’s version of Russia’s S-300—was hit at Malir in Karachi. At the same time, a HARPY kamikaze drone was used to destroy a Chinese-made LY-80 air defence system in Lahore.

Pakistan’s Threat Didn’t Stop India

Despite warnings from Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), India stayed firm. The Pakistani DGMO had warned that if India used BrahMos missiles against the Karachi port, Pakistan would respond with force. But Indian military and political leaders were not shaken by the threat.

By afternoon, the same Pakistani DGMO began requesting a no-attack agreement, showing the pressure Islamabad faced.

Pakistan’s Offensive Plan Failed in Hours

Pakistan had launched an operation named “Bunyan al-Marsoos” at 1:00 AM on May 10, aiming to hit Indian air bases within 48 hours. However, India’s powerful and quick response forced Pakistan to halt the mission by 9:30 AM. According to intercepted communications, Pakistan had no choice but to ask for a ceasefire.
