A high-level group of Indian MPs, led by Shiv Sena’s Shrikant Eknath Shinde, visited the Indian community in the UAE. During the meeting, they spoke about the new India and its bold actions after the Pahalgam terror attack. They also discussed India’s military response—Operation Sindoor.
Operation Sindoor Shows India’s Tough Stance
To begin with, BJD MP Sasmit Patra explained how Operation Sindoor reflected India’s strong response to terrorism. He stated, “We will ensure more than 100 terrorists die for what you’re doing. This is the new India.”
Furthermore, he said that political parties in India stand united against terrorism. “This is the new India where we will not allow political differences that various political parties are sitting together but we’re speaking one language, one voice, one thought and one idea- India,” he added.
Moreover, Patra said India is taking its message to the world. “…we are going to speak it face to face across the table… within the last 30 days, so much has happened. I’m pretty sure in the next 300 days, more things will happen. I can assure you of that.”
India Declares Talks Impossible During Attacks
Meanwhile, BJP leader Surendrajeet Singh Ahluwalia addressed the gathering with a strong message. He said India will not engage in dialogue if attacks continue. “Modiji is talking about the new normal that talks will not place if attacks are happening on India… Blood and water will not flow together,” he said.
In addition, Ahluwalia shared that the people they met abroad listened carefully to India’s views. He noted that the Indian community fully supported the country’s stand.
UAE Visit Begins Global Outreach
Notably, the UAE was the first stop in a four-country diplomatic tour. The delegation includes MPs Bansuri Swaraj, ET Mohmd Basheer, Atul Garg, Sasmit Patra, Manan Kumar Mishra, BJP leader Surendrajeet Singh Ahluwalia, and former Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.
Earlier in the day, the group met UAE Minister of Tolerance and Co-Existence, Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan. He expressed deep sorrow over the Pahalgam attack and offered condolences.
India Accuses Pakistan of Destabilizing Efforts
During the visit, the delegation highlighted Pakistan’s role in cross-border terrorism. They accused Pakistan of trying to disturb peace and harmony in India.
As a result, the MPs told the international community that India would not tolerate terrorism in any form. They stressed that the entire country stands united on this issue.
India Launches Operation Sindoor in Response
Following the Pahalgam terror attack, India launched Operation Sindoor. Indian forces carried out accurate strikes on terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
In response, Pakistan launched aggressive actions. However, Indian forces quickly retaliated by striking back at Pakistani airbases.
Eventually, after a phone call between Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) and his Indian counterpart, both countries agreed to stop military operations.
