Indian forces launched precision strikes as part of Operation Sindoor with a focused objective — to target senior leadership of terror outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, sources told ANI.
According to these sources, the locations hit in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) were carefully chosen to eliminate key figures responsible for orchestrating terrorist activities against India. These strikes were carried out in response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, including one Nepali national.
As per earlier statements from the Ministry of Defence, the operation was designed to be “focused, measured, and non-escalatory,” ensuring that no Pakistani military infrastructure was harmed.
The Indian government has reiterated its resolve to hold all those accountable for sponsoring cross-border terrorism. A detailed official briefing on the outcome of the strikes is expected later today.
