India is scheduled to hold a large-scale exercise on its western border with Pakistan from TODAY. Pakistan has issued an extended notice to air missions (NOTAM) over most of its territory as India's exercise is scheduled to begin in the Rajasthan and Gujarat states.
This comes months after India carried out Operation Sindoor against terror camps, airfields, and radar installations in retaliation for the April Pahalgam terror attack.
It involves all three wings of the Indian Armed Services the Indian Army, the Indian Navy, and the Indian Air Force. 'Trishul' will be held for 10 days October 30 to November 10.
It will be hosted in Sir Creek, close to the Pakistan border in Gujarat's Rann of Kutch area. India has promulgated a notice to air missions (NOTAM) for significant portions of Rajasthan and Gujarat.
The military forces will engage in joint operations in diverse and challenging territories, including offensive maneuvers in creek and desert areas.
They will also carry out amphibious operations off the Saurashtra coast in addition to multi-domain operational exercises.
The Indian Army will mobilize over 20,000 troops along with main battle tanks, howitzers, armed helicopters, and missile units.
Exercises such as Trinetra, aimed at "full-cycle electromagnetic spectrum operations and counter-unmanned aerial system kill chains," are already being undertaken by the 21 Sudarshan Chakra strike corps in the desert region.

The IAF will operate 'Mahagujraj' and send in Rafales and Sukhoi-30MKIs, special ops aircraft, helicopters, remotely piloted vehicles, and force multipliers such as IL-78 mid-air refuelers and airborne early warning and control aircraft.
The Navy too has positioned some frigates and destroyers off the Gujarat coast. "Remember, the Jamnagar refinery in Gujarat will be a target for Pakistan in any full-scale war," the officer explained to the newspaper.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday also asserted that India should always be ready to face a "war-like situation," bringing to mind the four-day war with Pakistan in May as a warning that "anything can happen anytime" on the borders.
