India Dispatches 51-Member Delegation to 32 Countries to Explain Operation Sindoor Objectives

In the wake of Operation Sindoor, India has initiated a significant diplomatic outreach by sending seven all-party delegations to 32 countries and the European Union headquarters in Brussels. The move aims to strongly communicate India’s position on terrorism and gather international support.

A total of 51 political leaders, including parliamentarians and former ministers from across party lines, will take part in these visits. The group includes 31 members from the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and 20 from opposition and non-NDA parties.

Bipartisan Unity for Global Message

The Ministry of External Affairs has structured the delegations to include diverse political and regional representation. Each group consists of 7-8 leaders and is supported by former diplomats to bolster strategic communication.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju wrote on X, “One mission. One message. One Bharat. Seven All-Party Delegations will soon engage key nations under #OperationSindoor, reflecting our collective resolve against terrorism.”

All delegations include Muslim representation—either among political leaders or diplomats—highlighting India’s pluralism in global messaging.

Senior Leaders and Former Diplomats to Represent India

Prominent names leading the delegations include Baijayant Panda, Ravi Shankar Prasad (both BJP), Sanjay Kumar Jha (JDU), Shrikant Shinde (Shiv Sena), Shashi Tharoor (Congress), Kanimozhi (DMK), and Supriya Sule (NCP-SP).

Notably, former Union Ministers like Ghulam Nabi Azad, M J Akbar, Salman Khurshid, S S Ahluwalia, V Muraleedharan, and Anand Sharma are also participating despite not being current MPs.
