Haryana Polls: Rahul Criticizes PM Modi and Haryana Govt for Destroying Employment System

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Haryana government during his campaign for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections in Assandh, Karnal, on Thursday. Gandhi accused the government of ruining the employment system and favoring capitalists over farmers.

Employment Crisis in Haryana: Rahul Gandhi’s Criticism

Rahul Gandhi claimed that both the central and state governments have destroyed the employment opportunities in Haryana, leading to a mass exodus of young people seeking jobs abroad.

“Narendra Modi and the Haryana government have destroyed the employment system. Children have gone abroad and will not return for years. Meanwhile, Modi gave away farmland to Adani and waived off loans for capitalists, but not for Haryana farmers,” said Gandhi.

Personal Encounters with Haryanvi Youth in the USA

Gandhi shared his experiences from a recent visit to Texas, USA, where he met young men from Haryana who had migrated in search of better opportunities. He described their struggles, including overcrowded living conditions and dangerous journeys to the US.

“Fifteen to twenty thousand people from Haryana are going to America. I met young men in Texas who told me about sleeping 15-20 people in one room and the harrowing journeys they faced, paying as much as ₹35 lakh for their trips,” Gandhi stated.

Congress Promises: Jobs, Affordable Gas, and MSP Guarantee

During his speech, Gandhi made several promises to the people of Haryana, should Congress win the upcoming state elections. He vowed to create employment, support farmers, and empower women.

“We will provide gas cylinders for ₹500 every month, create 2 lakh jobs for youth, guarantee MSP for farmers, and offer immediate compensation if crops are destroyed. We will also build houses for the poor,” he announced.

Gandhi also emphasized the need for a nationwide caste census, accusing the government of filling key institutions with RSS cadres, leaving no representation for marginalized communities.

“All institutions have been handed over to RSS. You won’t find any Dalits, backward classes, or tribals in these places. The bureaucracy and Election Commission are filled with their people, which is why a caste census is essential,” Gandhi added.

Concluding his speech, Gandhi reiterated his commitment to the welfare of farmers and weaker sections of society, criticizing the BJP for undermining the constitution and depriving marginalized groups of their rights.
