Haryana CM approves grant for development works

The Jan Samvad programme of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal proved significant in many ways for the residents of the Indri assembly constituency in district Karnal. On the one hand, the Chief Minister wholeheartedly approved grants for development works; on the other hand, he redressed the grievances and complaints of the people on the spot. In addition, Old Age Samman Allowance and Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) were also made on the spot, for which the people wholeheartedly appreciated the Monahar Lal-led State Government. During the Jan Samvad programme at Jainpur Sadhan village, a complainant from Ramgarh village apprised the Chief Minister that 136 kanals of 19 marlas of land in their village were left vacant for Gauchar (grazing land). However, some people had forcibly occupied the land for the last 28 years. Many people in the village had also appealed to the officials of the concerned departments, but no action was taken in this matter. The Chief Minister was surprised to hear that more than 17 acres of panchayat land had been encroached upon by people for such a long time. He directed Deputy Commissioner Sh. Anish Yadav to conduct a hearing into the matter on August 16 at 11 a.m. and apprise him. Conceding the demands put forth by MLA. Ram Kumar Kashyap and sarpanches of nearby villages, the Chief Minister said that work for the repair, strengthening, and widening of 15 roads of 76 kilometres in length in the Indri constituency would be done, on which about Rs. 25 crore would be spent. He also accorded approval to complete the pending work of Barat Ghar, the renovation of SC Chaupal, the road to Shiv Dham, the boundary wall and shed, and the opening of the Ayurveda dispensary. He said that an amount of Rs. 2.24 crore has so far been spent on development works in Jainpur Sadhan village.
