Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has spoken out on Instagram, expressing concern over the reported restrictions on Pakistani entertainment content and social media accounts in India following the Pahalgam terror attack. In a heartfelt message, she urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to hold ordinary Pakistani citizens and artists responsible for actions committed by the Pakistani army or Islamist terrorists.
“We Are Not the Enemy,” Says Hania
In her Instagram story, Hania wrote:
“Just because of General Asim Munir’s actions in Kashmir, the entire Pakistani entertainment industry has been banned in India, and even social media accounts are being restricted.”
She continued by addressing Indian authorities directly, saying:
“We, the common people of Pakistan, have done nothing wrong to India. It is the Pakistani army and Islamist terrorists who are behind the Pahalgam terrorist attack.”
Urges for Targeted Action
Hania’s message was clear—don’t punish innocent civilians for political or military decisions. She requested that the Indian government direct its actions at the perpetrators, not Pakistani artists or content creators.
“Please take action against the Pakistani army and the terrorists, not the innocent citizens,” she added.
Growing Tensions Post-Pahalgam Attack
Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which left several security personnel dead. In response, India is reportedly cracking down on Pakistani content and online platforms.
