Great Son Of India: Nita Ambani, Nation Mourns Ratan Tata’s Death With Heartfelt Tributes | WATCH

Mumbai: On October 9, India lost one of its greatest visionaries, Ratan Tata. Tributes poured in from across the country, with Nita Ambani, philanthropist and wife of Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani, leading the tributes at Reliance Industries’ annual Diwali dinner. Calling him a “Great Son of India,” Nita Ambani expressed her deep sorrow over the passing of the legendary industrialist and philanthropist, who had always worked selflessly for society’s betterment.

Reliance Family Honors Tata’s Legacy

During her address at the Diwali dinner, Nita Ambani reflected on Tata’s influence, both personally and professionally. “We lost a great son of India,” she said. “The passing of Mr. Ratan Tata has filled us all with immense grief. He was a dear friend of my father-in-law, of Mukesh, and our family. He was also a mentor to Akash. A visionary industrialist and a philanthropist, he always worked for society.”

In a moving gesture, Nita Ambani asked the entire audience to stand for a minute’s silence to honor the late Tata. This touching moment was one of many heartfelt tributes to the corporate titan.

Nation Bids Farewell to Ratan Tata

India united in mourning as corporate leaders, politicians, and celebrities gathered to bid their final goodbye to Ratan Tata. His funeral, held at Mumbai’s Worli Crematorium, saw the attendance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, and Congress leader Sushilkumar Shinde. With full state honors, Tata’s final rites were performed, and Mumbai Police paid tribute with a gun salute.

The Iconic Leader’s Final Moments

Ratan Tata, the visionary behind the transformation of the Tata Group into India’s largest conglomerate, breathed his last at Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai at 11:30 pm on October 9. Tata’s passing has been a significant loss to the country, with Maharashtra and six other states declaring a day of mourning. Scheduled government events, including a press conference by Piyush Goyal, were canceled in his honor.

Ratan Tata was more than just a businessman; he was a beacon of innovation, compassion, and national pride. His passing has left a void not only in the corporate world but in the hearts of millions who admired his dedication to society and his unwavering commitment to India’s progress.
