First Batch of Baba Amarnath Yatris Leaves for Baltal and Pahalgam Base Camps

Jammu, June 28: In an auspicious and grand ceremony, the first batch of pilgrims for the revered Baba Amarnath Yatra was flagged off by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, from the Amarnath Yatra base camp in Jammu. This event marked the beginning of a significant spiritual journey for thousands of devotees.

Approximately 4,600 pilgrims from various parts of the country embarked on their journey in a convoy of 224 vehicles. The departure was conducted under tight security measures to ensure the safety and well-being of the yatris.

The pilgrims are scheduled to reach the base camps at Baltal and Pahalgam till evening . On June 29, they will proceed from these base camps to offer prayers at the holy Amarnath Cave.

This annual pilgrimage holds immense religious significance and draws devotees from all corners of India. The meticulous planning and stringent security arrangements reflect the administration’s commitment to facilitating a safe and peaceful yatra for all participants.
