Delhi-NCR experienced a bout of heavy rain and gale-force winds late on Saturday night, providing relief from the blistering summer heat.
The IMD suggested citizens remain indoors and not seek shelter under trees. “Residents are suggested to take suitable precautions. Stay indoors, avoid open grounds, and don’t seek shelter under trees,” a weather office advisory stated.
The national capital had a minimum temperature of 28.4 degrees Celsius, 1.7 degrees less than the season’s average, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
