Faridabad Tragedy: 3 Dead, 5 Seriously Injured in Fiery Crash on NH-19 Near JCB Chowk

In a tragic road accident in Faridabad, three young men lost their lives and five others were seriously injured when a speeding MG Hector rammed into a Maruti Ertiga at NH-19’s JCB Chowk early Saturday morning.

Details About The Accident

The crash occurred around 2 am near Sector-55. According to police, the Maruti Ertiga was carrying five employees of JCB India Limited who were returning home to Hodal and Palwal after a night shift at the company’s headquarters. As the Ertiga reached JCB Chowk, an MG Hector with three occupants crashed into it from the right side.

“The collision was intense and caused the Ertiga to flip multiple times on the highway. The car later caught fire,” said Vinod Kumar, Station House Officer of Sector-58 police station. “They all were employees of JCB. Three of them namely Tevinder, Manish, and Deepanshu died in the accident. All were between 25 and 30 years old.”

Locals and police responded quickly to the scene. “Everyone was pulled out from the mangled remains of both vehicles before the fire spread. They were rushed to nearby hospitals, where three were declared dead on arrival,” Kumar said.

Aftermath Of The Accident

The five injured victims are currently in critical condition and are undergoing treatment. The names of the injured have not yet been released.

The police are still investigating the cause of the crash but suspect overspeeding and reckless driving. “Prima facie, it appears the MG Hector driver didn’t slow down before approaching the intersection,” the officer added.

The bodies of those who died have been taken to Badshah Khan Civil Hospital for postmortem. Police said they will file an FIR after receiving a written complaint from the victims’ families or their employer.

This heartbreaking crash also points to a bigger issue, there’s a clear need for stricter speed checks and better traffic control on NH-19, especially at night when roads are less monitored.
