An ex-Army man was killed, and his wife and daughter injured in a terrorist attack in Kulgam, Jammu & Kashmir.

In a terrorist assault on Monday in the Behibagh region of Kulgam district, Jammu and Kashmir, an ex-Army guy died and his wife and daughter were wounded. Manzoor Ahmad Wagay died of gunshot wounds suffered when terrorists shot at his family, while his wife and daughter remain in stable condition with leg trauma.

The region was sealed off by a combined team from the army, paramilitary units, and the police, started a search for the culprits. Sources inform The Indian Express Wagay was shot in the belly and his family members suffered leg injuries.

Last month in a similar incident, a soldier of the Indian Army died in a nighttime conflict with militants in the Sopore region. Critically wounded in the fight with insurgents hiding in Zaloora Gujjarpati, the soldier expired under evacuation. After shots were picked off, security forces had blocked off the location on January 19 and the search mission carried through the night.

Terrorists murdered two soldiers and two civilian porters in a Gulmarg Army car assault earlier in October. This came after an explosion in Batgund Tral, Pulwama, where a worker from Uttar Pradesh was hurt. The assault on the worker was one of many comparable events directed on non-residential laborers in the area.
