As many as eight residential houses have been razed to ashes even as an unaccounted number of domesticated animals charred alive in massive blaze at Yangerhar Wader Rajwar area in Handwara North Kashmir
Sources told that fire broke out in one of the residential houses in the area last night and quickly spread to nearby houses, causing extensive damage to eight houses.
F&ES, J&K Police, Army’s 21 RR, civil administration and locals are continuing with their efforts to contain the spread of fire, however at least eight residential houses have already been gutted besides leaving an unascertained number of domesticated animals charred, even as the flames raging too precariously.
The spot of incidence as learnt, has many wooden houses surrounded by trees with congested road stretches, all of which are making the firefighting operation too difficult.
